Physiotherapy Team
Lauren

Lauren is the Senior Physiotherapist and Director of Meaningful Movement Physio. With over a decade of experience in disability-focused physiotherapy, she is a passionate, energetic, and highly skilled clinician who leads with compassion, clinical excellence, and a deep commitment to person-centred care.
Lauren has worked with many of her clients for several years, building strong, trusting relationships and supporting them through meaningful progress. Her approach is holistic and grounded in family-centred care principles, ensuring therapy is tailored to each individual’s goals, values, and lived experience.
She is also a lecturer at Flinders University, and has completed Level One and Level Two Paediatric Physiotherapy and Level One Disability training through the Australian Physiotherapy Association.
Outside of her professional life, Lauren is a mum of two and a trail runner who has proudly represented Australia, bringing the same drive, resilience, and commitment to her clinical practice and movement as she does to her sport.
Mikayla

Mikayla is a dedicated and highly valued member of the Meaningful Movement Physio team. Since graduating with a Masters of Physiotherapy in 2022, she has worked full-time in paediatrics and disability, supporting clients across a wide range of ages and complexities with care, creativity, and clinical skill. She has completed her Level One Paediatrics course through the Australian Physiotherapy Association and continues to actively expand her knowledge and expertise.
Mikayla's clients and colleagues alike appreciate her reliability, energy, and commitment to helping each person achieve meaningful progress. Mikayla’s work is grounded in holistic practice, and she plays a key role in delivering high-quality, capacity-building physiotherapy that greatly impacts lives.
Outside of work, Mikayla enjoys walking her two dogs, playing netball, reading and spending time with family.
Shannon

Graduating with First Class Honours from the University of South Australia, Shannon has gone on to complete her Level One Paediatrics course through the Australian Physiotherapy Association and is a member of the Paedatric Group.
Since joining Meaningful Movement Physio in 2025, Shannon has become a valued member of the team, known for her ability to connect with young children and support families through meaningful, play-based and functional outcomes.
Her clinical practice is grounded in early intervention and holistic care, with a focus on helping children and adults reach their goals in their own environments. Originally from the Barossa region, Shannon is passionate about making healthcare accessible and empowering families through collaborative, strengths-based therapy.
